Sun Haven Waldorf School in Roberts Creek has created a financial program that helps students enroll regardless of their financial situation. Parents seeking affordable private education in the midst of public school funding cuts now have another opportunity. Sun Haven Waldorf School has adopted an Accessible to All (ATA) tuition adjustment program.
The ATA tuition adjustment program is made up of several components, one being a sliding scale tuition adjustment, which adjusts tuition levels to a percentage of income. This component could reduce tuition by as much as 30%. A sibling discount is also available to further reduce tuition ranging from 2-5%.
This year a new offer has been added. A tuition of $1500/year, a 70% reduction off regular tuition is now available to all new students from grades one to five.
Sun Haven Waldorf School, which offers Parent & Child Program, Preschool, Kindergarten, and Grades 1-5, hopes the tuition program - currently used by Waldorf schools nationwide - will allow families to embrace Waldorf education regardless of their economic status.
Our hope is that the 70% discount for new grade students will make Waldorf education more accessible to those who seek it. We also hope it will encourage families to take a closer look at what Waldorf education has to offer their children with the cost of tuition being so accessible.
