Sun Haven Waldorf School is now in it's eighth year. Our growing school has approximately 60 students in our pre-kindergarten through Grade Five programs. Our faculty works on a consensus basis and has a solid commitment to anthroposophy and Waldorf education.
We are looking for teachers and staff members who have expertise and enthusiasm for their subject or area, and who are committed to working out of Anthroposophy. A bachelor's degree and Waldorf teacher certification for all teachers or a willingness to complete Waldorf teacher training are desired and a BC Teaching Certificate or eligibility for a BC Independent Schools Certificate are required for class teachers and kindergarten teachers. Early Childhood Education Certification is required for our pre-kindergarten programs. Benefits include basic provincial medical insurance, tuition remission, and ongoing teacher development opportunities.
Our campus is located in Roberts Creek, a rural community on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. Only a 40 minute ferry ride from the city of Vancouver, the Sunshine Coast is an exceptionally beautiful location and is a mecca for outdoor recreation enthusiasts as well as home to a thriving arts community.
